Wedding dress waistlines

>This graphic gives a quick overview of the different types of waistlines that you may want to consider when shopping for your dream dress!

Now that you have the basics of wedding dress silhouettes and waistlines lets talk shopping!

Tips for the best experience at the bridal salon:

  • don't look at or try on dresses that are outside of your budget.

  • limit the number of people you bring to dress shop; two - five will give you feedback on the look of the dress without overwhelming you.

  • keep in mind the style tastes of those you invite to the shopping experience if your soon-to-be MIL (mother-in-law) or SIL (sister-in-law) is SUPER conservative, but you and your mom are more trendy then it may be a real struggle to come to agreement.

  • try on veils and accessories to enhance the wedding dress and make it your own style.

Tips from the pros over at Mountain Valley Bridal!

  • try different silhouettes and waistlines because the dress in the magazine picture that you dreamed of is different in person and that the dress you never thought of is your true love!

  • ask all the questions you want! Want a detail changed or worried about the way the dress is fitting, well they can guide you to the solution you need!

  • you need an experienced seamstress as wedding dresses require a specific set of skills, and you must trust that person while they perfect your wedding dress.
